11-4-09: MMS and TNS Grippers

11-4-09, Wednesday

-146lb #3 for 1

-5/8″-Handle GM for 6 singles

-160lb #3 for 1

-169lb Super Elite for 1 MISS

-Hoseclamped at Parallel-T7 for 2 sets of 2 reps

-112lb #2 for 5 reps

-146lb #3 for 2 singles

-5/8″-Handle GM for 6 MISSES

*Overall Notes: Top-end strength was noticeably down.  I was about 1/16″ off on my 169lb Super Elite.  But it felt like a mile tonight.  So I took a different approach and did some work with Matt Cannon’s 5/8″-Handle Grand Master so I could feel like I’ve done some work on the close.  He generously loaned me his BTR gripper and a hard Elite to help with my MM3 prep.  Thanks again Matt!  I missed one of the TNS 5/8″-Handle GM attempts by about 1/16″ and most of the others by about 1/8″.  I don’t know what it calibrates at, but it’ll be a good TNS close when I get it done.
