3-27-11: Angelic Workout – Halos


3-27-11, Sunday

HALOS

-7kg-x40     *Notes: 40 reps gives me a great shoulder and trap pump – even with this low weight.

-16kg-x20     *Notes: 20 reps used to be what I did with the 7kg.  Doing it with the 16kg KB feels pretty good.  Not too heavy – but heavy enough that I have to concentrate on keeping my orbits tight. 

-20kg-x10     *Notes: I’ve only used this weight once before and it requires that I keep tighter than is comfortable.  To be honest, I guess the 16kg KB is the same way for me.  

-24kg-x6     *Notes: Heaviest I’ve ever gone with Halos.  Didn’t feel dangerously heavy but it sure didn’t feel productive or necessary either. 

KNEE-UPS

*Overall Notes: I enjoy doing Halos regardless of the weight used.  The lighter weight-higher rep sets might be more useful and functional.  But I wanted to switch things up and experience the heavier weight and see how it changed the movement for me.  Only did 1 set of Knee-Ups.
