FBBC 2″ VERTICAL BAR
-252×1-both hands *Notes: Full pulls on both hands. Just replicating the weight (well, actually I’ll ask for 250lbs) that I’ll take as my opener at the KC Qualifier II in May.
-277×1-both hands *Notes: Very nice! This may be the first workout that I’ve pulled this weight this solidly with both hands right after the other. I usually pull lefty first and then righty a few seconds later. I have been getting this weight – but it’s been more often that it’s a legal lift with one hand and then a missed lift with the other hand.
-303-for 9 MISSES-both hands *Notes: That looks discouraging when read like that. What really transpired is a different matter. I actually got 1″ of air twice righty and once lefty! That means this weight will rise possibly in the next workout if I time my recovery right. Also got 1/2″ of air on both hands on one of the attempts.
50 POUND YORK BLOB
-FULL LIFT-right hand, -MISS-left hand *Notes: Strong lift righty.
-PULLED TO RIBS-right hand, -MISS-left hand *Notes: Pulled this crazy high – like almost to my armpit. Have never done that before today’s workout. Had to race it down because it started slipping due to the weird wrist angle from pulling it so high.
-pulled to knee-right hand, -floated it-left hand *Notes: What most would consider a full lift I think.
-PULLED TO HIP-right hand, -1/2″-left hand *Notes: Another solid pull righty. Thought I was going to pull it lefty but it only hovered.
*Overall Notes: Tested using Gym Movement principles from the Grip and Rip 2.1 DVD. Grippers tested the worst. Mouse Pinch tested better than grippers. Blobs tested better than Mouse Pinch. And 2″ vbar tested the best.
