5-30-11: MMS Grippers

5-30-11, Monday


WARMUP: Trainer-x5-right hand, -#1×1-right hand, -#2×1-right hand

WORKOUT: Everything is right hand only today.  Wanted to go to a max close.  Saved my left hand for the setting.

-137lb #3×1    

-151lb #3×1     *Notes: Slammed shut.

-169lb #3.5×1     *Notes: Solid close with a 1-second hold.  Wide set too – probably 25mm when reviewed on video.

-174lb Elite-x1     *Notes: Solid close.

-179lb Elite-x1     *Notes: Barely closed.  This ties my contest PR.

-179lb Elite-x1     *Notes: Another barely closed. 

-179lb Elite-MISS     *Notes: Missed by a sliver. 

-174lb Elite-MISS     *Notes: Missed by 1/8″.  Knew it was time to shut the workout down but I did another attempt.

-169lb #3.5-MISS     *Notes: Missed by 1/8″.  Definitely time to quit this workout.

*Overall Notes: Very solid MMS workout today.  Closed my 179lb Elite for 2 singles and got a single with the 174lb Elite too.  Plus the 169lb #3.5.
