9-27-11: 19mm Block Set Grippers

9-27-11, Tuesday

-Trainer-x5-both hands     Applied Dry Hands.  Makes my hands super sensitive to the knurling – but I like the feeling because it gives me more control of the gripper handles.

-#2×1-both hands

-121lb GNC200x1-both hands     Pretty easy closes on both hands.

-134lb Bone Crusher 300×1-both hands     Moderately hard on the left.  Easy on the right.

-Triple Band-Mirror Smooth-x1-both hands     Moderate.  Mixed up the order of the Triple Band and the BC300.  The Triple Band is 5lbs easier than the BC300.  But it doesn’t necessarily FEEL easier though due to the nasty smoothness of the Triple Band handles.

-153lb GNC250x1-both hands     Smashed righty.  Barely closed lefty.

***REAPPLIED DRY HANDS***     Used a nickel-sized glob that might’ve been a bit too much…normally I use a dime-sized glob.  Still in the learning process with Dry Hands so it’s useful information.

-Quad Band-Gun Metal (uncalibrated)-x1-right hand, -MISS-left hand     Smashed righty and a 1-second hold.  Lefty was about 3/8″ off.  Way off in other words.

-Quad Band-Gun Metal (uncalibrated)-x1-right hand, -MISS-left hand     Strong close righty – but very hard.  Missed lefty by about 3/8″ again.  Not even close.  That pause to insert the block just kills my left hand strength.  Good to know.  And I’m working on it.

-Quad Band-Gun Metal (uncalibrated)-MISS-right hand     Missed by 1/4″!  That’s a big miss so I knew it was time to call the workout quits right there.

Could’ve finished up with some easier closes but I did enough gripper work yesterday to hold me for a few days at least.  Doing the gripper work today was just icing on the cake.  Wasn’t meant to be a PR-setting performance.  Just putting some work in.
