10-11-11: 30mm Block Set Grippers

30MM BLOCK SET GRIPPERS

Yes, I trained grippers yesterday.  But I’m upping my gripper frequency a bit in the final 4 weeks before the Fall Grip Decathlon.  Not going to train every day of course.  But at least 3 or 4 times a week on grippers should be just fine if I’m not going all-out every workout. 

Used David Horne’s 30mm aluminum block set for all my sets. 

-Trainer-x10-both hands    

-#2×5-both hands     Felt harder than it should have.  Didn’t use Dry Hands yet. 

***APPLIED DRY HANDS***     A nickel-sized glob of Dry Hands is turning out to be best.

-137lb #3×3-right hand, -x2-left hand     Had a few more in my righty and maybe one more lefty.  Not trying to break the strength bank though.  Just accumulating some work today.

-151lb #3×1-right hand     Hard close.  Not a good gripper day in other words when my normal #3 feels hard. 

-139lb RB210x2-left hand     Solid closes. 

-159lb RB330N-MISS-right hand     Missed by 1/16″.  Dammit.

-151lb #3-MISS-left hand     Missed by 1/8″. 

-159lb RB330N-x1-right hand     Solid close – but hard. 

-153lb GNC250-MISS-left hand     Missed by a sliver. 

-137lb #3×3-right hand, -x2-left hand     Solid closes on both hands.  Thought I had picked up the 151lb #3 and then soon realized I hadn’t when I got solid reps with it – haha!

-151lb #3×1-right hand     Solid close – but hard again.

-153lb GNC250-MISS-left hand     Missed by a sliver again.  A sheet of paper wouldn’t have fit in the gap.

-153lb GNC250x1-right hand     Missed a 2nd rep by 1/8″.  Hard – but solid – close.

-137lb #3×2-left hand     Solid closes.

-137lb #3×4-right hand, -x2-left hand     Might’ve had another rep in both hands.

-151lb #3×1-right hand     Barely closed it.

-137lb #3×2-left hand     Solid reps. 

All in all not a bad workout since I had a pretty solid MMS workout the day before.
