I rested 4 days from my last dip workout and tested max reps yesterday. Got one more rep but it wasn’t a complete waste of training time. It was only 4 days worth of workouts – consecutive days of 1/2 my max reps for 4 sets done throughout the day. I’m going to base my new daily dip workouts on my new max. Bodyweight was 212lbs.
Ran 1/2 mile in 4 minutes and 17 seconds on the street and trail on 10-3-12. Wore my clunky Asics so it wasn’t meant to be an all-out run. It was pretty hard and I think even if I had gone to an RPE of 9 (it was about an 8) it wouldn’t only been about 20 seconds faster on that day.
Haven’t decided yet what my next 30-day running experiment will be. I did a short kettlebell workout yesterday and am trying to figure out what I want to do in terms of general training.
